Lilly Love!

Ashlee in California re-adopted Lily in December 2011.  Unfortunately, CPK Rescuers couldn't mail her out to Ashlee until recently.  BUT...Lily arrived in Sunny California this last week, and Ashlee was THRILLED!  She immediately took some pictures to share with CPK Rescuers....

CPK Rescuers has been SO fortunate!  A very sweet, very giving Alexis Mantello from Ontario, Canada, contacted CPK Rescuer Headquarters, wanting to donate.  She generously shipped 8 CPKs to our Canada Headquarters in Surrey, B.C., and when Rescuer Peter got the box, he immediately took them out and hugged each of them.  It's donations like this that make us feel so grateful.  Not only do we get more CPKs to donate to special people and children...we meet some wonderful new friends like Alexis.  As with any donation, Alexis will be notified and kept up to date with where each of her donations goes.  She wants them to have loving homes, as much as we do.

Amazing Donation in Texas!!!

A very loving and wonderful woman named Iris in Arlington, Texas, contacted CPK Rescuers, wanting to donate to our organization.  She teamed up with Rescuer Dee and not only donated 11 CPKs to CPK Rescuers, she became a friend.  THANK YOU SO MUCH, IRIS!  We will definitely update you on where each of your Kids goes!

RAFFLE WINNER!

Congratulations to ....  ALYSIA BROWN!  She won the raffle for the CPK Horse, stamper, figurines and necklace charm for donating!  Alysia is a wonderful supporter of CPK Rescuers and has become a great friend to our organization.  We are so excited to send her this prize package for Christmas!

Generous Donation in Texas!!!

A wonderful lady and friend named Ann in Fort Worth, Texas, donated 8 wonderful CPKs and a TON of clothes to CPK Rescuers on August 5th, 2011.  Rescuer Anntoinette from the Texas Taskforce met Ann, thanked her for all of us, and took these CPKs home with her.  3 of them were re-adopted, and she sent the other 5 here to Headquarters in Washington.  We are SO thankful to Ann and Anntoinette for their hard work and support!!!

AMAZING DONATION!!

A very special friend, ANN, in Fort Worth, Texas gave CPK Rescuers a huge donation of CPKs and clothes in September 2011.  We are SO thankful for her generosity, and for Rescuer Anntoinette being so amazing at meeting Ann, collecting the donation, fixing the CPKs up and already re-adopting some out!  Several of them are on their way to Headquarters now, and you'll see them on the blog soon!

Donate to Help ....

CPK Rescuers is SO grateful for all of the support we've received!  Without this support, CPK Rescuers would not be able to match up special people with magical CPKs.


One wonderful family received 2 CPKs from us:  Ricky and Savannah.  Ricky was sent to AJ (Kevin's nickname) and Savannah was sent to his mom, Ann.  AJ spent the last 2 years at Boston Children's Hospital, and Ann never left his side.  After contracting the Swine Flu, AJ was given some medication that was supposed to help him heal quicker.  Instead, it debilitated him.  After 3 strokes,  he couldn't walk, talk or swallow.  Ann lived in the hospital room with AJ, and gave up her entire life for him.  This was especially hard, because she had to maintain a home for her family over an hour away from the hospital, too.

On Friday night, November 11th, AJ passed away at the hospital.  Ann must now learn to live again, without her best friend.  We at CPK Rescuers feel SO blessed to have been able to donate CPKs to Ann and AJ....and now that they will provide a different kind of comfort now, for Ann.  She is an AMAZING woman and mother, who sacrificed everything for AJ.

CPK Rescuers has decided to change the raffle we have going on now.  Instead of your donations helping us to pay for shipping costs, CPKs and accessories for them, 100% of your donation will go to Ann.  Staying by AJ's side for 2 years meant that Ann's full time job was being a mother...and sacrificing income.  She now has costs that no mother should ever have to face, and we are humbly asking for donations to help her out.  Your name will be entered into the raffle, just like it would have before.  If you don't want to be entered into the raffle to win the prize package, but would just like to donate, please do so!

The CPK TaskForce Rescuers!

CPK Rescuers wouldn't be what it is today without the support of some AMAZING people across the nation.  We currently have TaskForce's in:  British Columbia, Washington State, Texas, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.  The TaskForce Rescuers do the same thing that Headquarters does - rescue CPKs, get clothes and blankets for them, fix them up and give them big love, and then they either ship them to Headquarters, or donate them to needy people in their own states!  A BIG Thank You to all of our TaskForce Rescuers, Bryan, Dee, Anntoinette, Amanda, Marti-Jo and Rachel!
